The brain drain of young students

Have you ever thought about studying abroad? Have you ever wished to be part of a different reality? Have you ever imagined yourself living in an other country? I had.
And now that I'm growing up so fast and the time to make the very first big decisions has come, these ideas can't get out of my head.
So basically I started looking for information, and I discovered many things about the possibilities to study at a university abroad.

The greatest question is: why choose to study abroad?
The world is huge and the opportunities are many, so what is the point of limiting yourself by ignoring that there are several potential destinies out there and not caring about the chance to be all that you're capable of becoming?
I personally think that being in an international environment is the best chance to establish contacts with people around the world, have a valuable insight into a different culture, learn a language and grow as a person.
Being in a new cultural setting is probably scary at first, but it seems exciting as well. Students who decide to leave are people who are going to confront themselves with different perceptions, beliefs and values, learning from them in a positive or perhaps in a negative sense, but certainly creating and building their own point of view.

But what does leaving our nation means? There are several things to consider.
First of all, it is obvious that an adequate knowledge of the English language is required, or, at least, of the language of the country where you want to study. And don't worry if your grammar is not perfect. The best way to learn how to speak fluently and correctly is to live in that country, to speak that language with native speakers, making mistakes which will hopefully disappear one day.
Secondly,  of course you can count on the support of your family and friends, but the truth is that you are alone and you have to make your own living, doing your best without wasting your time. You will be constantly managing your life, and according to me this thing is great, because it is the first step of an adult life.
Then, it is necessary to know how the manners of the people living in the country where you are going to study are. The importance of doing that depends on the nation where you are moving to, but generally speaking every culture has its own rules, and if you really want you to integrate, you should learn and respect them.

In conclusion, I truly suggest to everybody to consider the idea of studying abroad. It is the best opportunity to discover new capacities, as well as face new challenges and solve new problems. And if you already were one of those people who wants to leave but has too many doubts and looks at someone else thinking: ''he does what he wants.'' Why shouldn't you do what you want? Stop thinking, leave!
